  • moving away from Xanga

Starting from awhile back, I have realize most of my friends are starting to immgrate from Xanga to Yahoo HK. . . which I don't know what is the reason for that. . . .shall I do the same thing?

Even that my blog wasn't that long. . .only 1 year and 4 months old.   I prove to be in the most important era of my life.  Getting marry and turning 30's.  I really want to cherish this memory and build up from it. . . . but the proble is so lonely here. . . .and I can except it will be even more so later.  I really want a way out!  Shall I stop putting stuff here and try to move all my blogs. . . and photos to Yahoo?

    I think I will try. . . !

  • 30's Brirthday Present

The closer I got to my 30's birthday, the more warmth I receive from everyone.  . . which I am graceful for the kindness from all  my love one!

Yesterday I receive one from the most unexcepted one.  Guess who? yeah, that's my Dad.  For the pass 29 years, all the presents come from Mum. . .of cause that means both of them.  But never in my life my dad would buy things for me from his own pocket money.  Thanks to Iphone4 and my dad got a suprise 7.5K spending money for this month.  Not only he paid off his Nex3 in no time, he can get both of us new monitors too.

Dell Ultrasharp 23" 16:9 Full HD Monitor. . . .my first IPS panel......It comes in a very "cheap" price.  $1750 each.  It looks good. . .with 96% Adobe RGB coverage.  It kinds of fall into the same grade as my NEC at home. . . which is 3X more expensive.  I guess this will not be as great as my NEC at home.. . but hay, is a gift from my lovely Daddy.

My wife asked me one question last night. . . . where am I going to fit the new monitor.................wakakaka.  I understand that this is the question..... my 3"x6" working desk is almost FULL. . . . with I7 computer, 2X22" monitor and an A3 printer . . . . .. is a dream working station for many people already, but I am going to give it one more punch.  . . with a 23" monitor on a stand up position.........

I have one week to prepare for the arrival of this baby. . . . I better start organizing my desk now!

  • 4 days and 4 nights

August is the busiest month in my company, most of the problem started to surface during this period of time.  I actually broke the record for OT this week, with 4 nights in a row that I leave after 9:30pm.  This might not sound like much for friends that are working in the garment industry, but hay, I am not. . . . so is already hell for me.

Working OT is tuff for me in many ways.  I live far away from work, I cook at night. . . .and most importantly, I have photo editing work that I do at night all the time, which I have to stop any editing for this week.  Anyways, I am hoping that after this hell week, life could come a little easier as I don't won't to have my last week of 20's working working and working.  Yeah.  . .I am turning 30 next saturday, sucks to be true........................

Oh, about the process of my new photo style, I actually had some photos that I edited on saturday.  Kind of another break through for me.

The Prototype of what my papertone might look like: it really helps to safe all the photos that we might have blowed during shooting!

Here is a combination shot with papertone and color, kind of cool!

I have also realize some of my photos aren't clean enough, therefore the focus might not be so clear. . . so I have mass crop a few fotos to see the difference. . . here they areDSC09205 DSC09235

I really hope to resume my editing tongith if things aren't that bad in office!

  • Second Night into the edit!

I had a great night last night, thanks John for giving me advise on the phone for each photo that I do. . . . Even that I really don't know what did I improve last night, I really hope that we can get yield some reward out of or work now.

Back to the new style.  I am still working on the brownish tone, I did put it to the test on different situtation, but really found out that it only work best on indoor with good lighting.  So be it.  It will stay with this frame.  Now should comes the time to really work on the final color tone and sharpness.

Here are some of the photos that I did. . . .

This is the first banquet shot I apply this method, seems OK, but really not that special. . . .  .

  • Honeymoon Photo

I always say photo editing is a pain in the AXX job, it takes time, it takes energy, and it takes insperation to complete each photo.  Expessually for those you value more than others.

Iris and I had our honeymoon back in March.  A Six Days trip to Sumui Thailand which I took over 1K photo back.  The target for myself was about 500 usable photos with about 100 good ones.  Aftr the trip, I conclude that I have made both my target on usable and good photos.  But to make them to be what I want them to be. . . . here comes the challange.  At that time, I cannot spare myself out because of wedding day photos are in the way.  Then comes my peak season. . . . then bal bal bal.  . . full of excauses.

What I want to say is I started edit the honeymoon photos back in June. . . .painfully edited each one till is has the feeling that I want. . . .but sometimes is hard for people to understand. . . . . . how long it takes for a photo to be edited.

Here are some of the photos that I love. . . .
